Sam Sady grew up on the East side of the Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon. After graduating from High School Sam attended Trinity Western University – a private Christian University on the outskirts of Vancouver, British Columbia Canada where he met his wife Jenna. Sam graduated with a business degree and in 2001 Sam and Jenna married and moved to Hillsboro where Sam went to work for Wells Fargo Bank. In 2009 Sam joined State Farm and opened up his own agency in Beaverton in 2011. Sam holds licenses in life, health, property and casualty insurance, in addition to being mortgage licensed and carrying series 6 and 63 securities licenses. Sam and Jenna have two boys ages 10 and 8. Mission trips have played a key role in developing Sam’s faith starting with mission trips to Mexico in high school to spending a year overseas in South Korea and Japan through YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in 1997/98. When he has spare time, Sam enjoys Basketball, archery, and most anything outdoors.
P.M. Varghese
P.M. Varghese was born and raised in India and immigrated to the USA in 1998 along with his wife Susan and two sons Anup and Arun. His academic credentials include graduate level degrees in Economics and Management. While in India, he worked for Living Media India Ltd as a cost center manager. He has been employed with U.S. Bank since 2000 and is currently part of the Credit Risk management and Compliance team. His past experience includes working with Christian non-profit organizations in India and in Portland. His passion is to serve Lord’s people in every way possible and is involved with various missions in India. He attends Living Hope Fellowship. He is a cricket fan and loves to travel with his family and friends, especially to third world countries on mission trips.

Marshall Bex
Marshall Bex grew up in Gresham, Oregon. He attended Portland Christian School until 8th grade and then went to Centennial High School. He completed his junior and senior years at Mountain View High School in Bend, Oregon. It was during his senior year that he met his wife, April, and they married in 1999. Marshall earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Technology from University of Oregon, where he was also active with Campus Crusade for Christ. Marshall spent 10 years at Nike in various roles within Nike Brand Design and in 2010 started Mode Adjust, a design and production studio. Marshall has three children that attend Valor. He enjoys leading worship, mountain biking, camping, off-road driving and spending time with his family.
Lori Harris
Lori has worked at Nike for nearly two decades doing strategy and process work. Following her passion for helping women achieve their potential, she also formed an employee network dedicated to empowering and connecting women through inspiring events and informative classes. And she recently began hosting a monthly meet up for Christian working women in the Beaverton area. Lori married her high school sweetheart in 1994. They live in Hillsboro with their two kids, Ian and Calla. As a family they enjoy camping and cheering on the Hillsboro Hops.
Amber Burnett
Amber Burnett grew up in Eugene, Oregon. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, a master's degree in Early Elementary Education from Pacific University, and an Administrative License from George Fox University. Amber works for the Beaverton School District coaching teachers and students with social, emotional, and academic support. Amber lives in Beaverton with her husband, James, and their daughter, Charlotte, who has been a student at Valor since the day it opened. In her free time, she likes to play golf, draw, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
Dr. Matthew Dodd
Matthew came to faith in Jesus Christ during his senior year of high school after his dad shared the Gospel with him. Matthew graduated from the University of Washington and was accepted to law school but declined the offer because he felt the Lord leading him into pastoral ministry. He worked part-time at a small church in Bothell, WA for three years before he moved to Hillsboro, OR to study at Multnomah Biblical Seminary and worked at Calvary Chapel Worship Center (CCWC) as an assistant pastor. In 1996, he moved to Dallas, TX to continue his education at Dallas Theological Seminary. While in Dallas, Matthew pioneered a Calvary Chapel where he served as the senior pastor for eight years. In 2013, Matthew returned to the staff at CCWC and currently serves as an associate pastor. Matthew earned his Master of Arts in Religious Studies in 2018 and his Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics in 2022 from Southern Evangelical Seminary. Matthew and his wife, Heidi, enjoy raising their daughter and working together in ministry.
Paul Labberton grew up in Beaverton, OR. After graduating from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, he returned to Beaverton. He works at Daimler Truck North America as a Senior Service Engineer. Paul and his wife, Peggy, have two sons, Luke and Eli, who both attend Valor. In his free time, he likes to fix broken things or if necessary, take something apart that is working just fine in order to make it work even better. He also enjoys camping and time spent outdoors with his family.
Justin Figueredo
Justin was born in Santa Clara, California but raised in Flower Mound, Texas. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and commissioned through Army R.O.T.C. as an active duty Field Artillery officer in 2009.
He met his now wife, Leigh, while at his first duty station, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Upon leaving active duty in the summer of 2013 and moving back home to Flower Mound, TX, Leigh and Justin found Jesus, were rebaptized, and got married in 2014. Justin obtained a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2016 before moving to Hillsboro, Oregon in 2017 with their first child, daughter Kamryn, in tow. Leigh and Justin know they have been called to witness to Leigh’s family, 200 strong, here in the Pacific Northwest. Since moving to Oregon, Justin entered civilian federal service holding positions as a Budget Analyst with Portland VA Healthcare System and a Contract Specialist with the Bureau of Land Management. He continues his military service in the U.S. Army Reserve and is now a Supervisory Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Leigh and Justin have added three kids since moving to Oregon: son Kaleb, son Kody, and daughter Kinsley who is the only one who has not enrolled at Valor yet. Justin loves to sail, fish, scuba dive, play guitar, and learn new things like playing the piano and bagpipes. Justin is honored and excited to be the newest member of the Valor School Board!
Jeremy Reedal
Jeremy Reedal grew up in Aloha/Beaverton Oregon. He attended Aloha High School then went on to Fairfield University to study Business Administration. He graduated from Warner Pacific College with a Degree in Business Administration. Jeremy Currently serves as President of Indemnity Excess & Surplus Agency, they are a wholesale insurance brokerage located in the pacific northwest. Jeremy lives in Beaverton with his amazing wife, Katy, and Kids Miriam and Abram. They also have a dog named Frank. Both Miriam and Abram attend Valor. In his free time, Jeremy loves to play golf and spend time with family and friends over good food.
